JesseJH
Hey guys, I'm new here. I just purchased the Corsair Hydro Series H100i from Best Buy, thinking to attach it to my Core 2 Quad (Q6600). I had assumed that it would be compatible with this LGA because all of the other liquid cooling units I have encountered did. I guess I should have actually read the box LOL. Anyways... What do I do? I've seen some users reportedly being able to request the correct brackets for this older (Not dead!) socket, and I really don't want to return this unit, as I've heard great things about it. I already tried doing an RMA request, and I could not get a part number to work. I clearly see that the part number for this unit is CW-9060009-WW. Can someone please help me find my way? I really want to get this system going. Also, if this is helpful for any reason, my motherboard is Asus Maximus II Formula. Thanks!

JesseJH
After some digging, I found this: http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h60-h80-h100-universal-bracket-kit If you have an H100i for the purposes of mounting to an LGA 775 board, you will need to purchase this universal bracket kit from Corsair to make the H100i compatible. I expect my order to come in sometime next week. I'll report my findings. Good luck.
