dmaownsyou
I was adding another 512mb module of CMX512-3200 C2 ram to my sytem that already had one, and after install, and making sure both modules were seated correctly on boot up, I smelt smoke, and immediately shut the computer off. I pulled the added stick out, and noticed a char mark on one of the pins, and it will not work anymore. I do not know what caused this, as I double checked to make sure both ram modules were locked in. The only thing I saw was that the headspredders were touching eachother as the dimms were so close. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2004 We will be happy to replace the module, but you should have your MB checked as you may have a bad slot! Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
