Lukeroge
I recently picked up an AX760i and I’ve been really disappointed with the fan included with the unit. I’ve had the often-reported issue of the “tapping” or “ticking” noise from the PSU fan controller checking the fan every 13 seconds or so. It sounds like a tap dripping and is extremely annoying when I’m relaxing with my quiet H440 build. I can hear it from over a meter away quite easily. Turning the fan up to the minimum 40% speed does stop the ticking, but then I have another issue. The fan is quite noisy when running at any speed, sounding uneven and kind of like a small (very quiet) engine with a decent amount of bearing noise in the background. I can hear it over the rest of my system quite easily, and increasing the speed makes it even worse. I’m wondering if anyone else has successfully RMA’ed their PSU and received a unit that does not “tick”, because a unit this expensive should not have issues like this! If any Corsair reps can respond, it would be much appreciated :)
Ahtlon
Fill out a ticket at the tech support site, link is above "Support Ticket System" and tell your problem, also upload your invoice/bill of the reseller there. They need a little time to answer the ticket, but they will take care of you.
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted July 11, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 11, 2014 Yeah... RMA it. It shouldn't be doing that at all in an AXi. The older analog PSUs with Zero-RPM did that, but anything made since 2013 has had that issue fixed and it never really applied to AXi.
