eschell
i have an asus p4p800 deluxe, p4 2.6c, 2x512mb xms 3200c2 both of which are xms3202v1.2, and a 9800pro first i was trying to get both sticks to work in dual channel had blue screens and video card crashing problems all over(vpu recover) so i started testing all sorts of things which led to discovering that one of these sticks works in this board and one just won't when i put one of them in it works just fine pull it put the other in i get the same problems i was getting when i had them both in tried upping voltages and running memory timing spd didn't help at all tried dropping from 200mhz to even 166 and still nothing i put the stick in my friends a7n8x deluxe rev 1.4 and it was working fine it seemed so i've run out of ideas. i am not running any enhanced modes, all defaults acccept i tried upping the dram voltage which didn't help. anywho thanks in advance i hope i can get some resolution. for now i will continue to run 512mb, but it baffles me that the other seemingly identical stick will not run in this board even by itself. update, that stick that would not at all run in mine that i thought would run in a7n8x-d seemed to be running fine but errored in prime95 torture test in te first 5 minutes. so perhaps the stick is just bad? in that event i have one stick that is fine and one that is bad, but if i get a different revision stick the older and newer one probably wouldn't get along would it? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2004 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
