3 pin fan

Can I plug in a 3 pin fan directly to h80i block or only 4 pin PWM fans? And do I need an adapter?

You can plug a three pin fan in but note the controller may not "control" the fan's RPM.

i used the included y fan connector already for the 2 radiator fans. i want to now plug in some case fans to the block so i can have the corsair link software report/control them

 

i am asking if i need another adapter or if a regular 3 pin or 4 pin fan connector will fit directly into the block? im guessing i need an adapter.

if your cooler came with only 1 y cable you would need to acquire another 1

Having only used the h100i I wrongly presumed the h80i also came with 2 y cables.
