How do I know it is doing anything?

**UPDATE** Problem Solved: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=125851

I know the title seems a bit odd, but what exactly is this piece of software suppose to do? I have a H100i and the radiator fans are connected to the y-plug which is connected to the pump/corsair link.

I have the software installed, it looks like this. I right click the systray icon and click on performance and I don't see the fans RPM doing anything.

Did you plug the H100i into the computer using a mini USB B to Type A cable?

It seems like the H100i is not detected in the software.

That is what I was thinking myself. Yes the USB cable that goes into the heatsink is connected to a USB header on my motherboard. I even swapped headers.

I'm not too alarmed at the moment. Within BIOS I've set all fans to "full", and my temps seem to idle around 26-30*C on this new i5-4690K and hover around 70-80*C when stressed (4.6GHz) so I assume my fans are working as intended.

If and when I get the software to see the H100i, what difference should I expect?

Maybe the firmware isn't up to date.

NVM there is no firmware on this H100i that I know of. I'm going to reinstall the software and see. Maybe it is Windows 8.1
