Theoverturn
Hello, I just bought me a new Computer with a ASUS Maximus VII Hero Motherboard and a Corsair AX1200i power supply. The problem is that I can not find a cable that fits EATX 12V 8-pin connector on the motherboard (ASUS Maximus VII Hero) I got 2 cables with the PSU where it says "CPU" on one of the side of the cable and then i can fit it on the motherboard, but when I then trying to connect the other side of the cable it will not fit in the PSU, and then if I turn the cable around again it will fit the PSU but not motherboard, I got 2 of this cables with the PSU. I have checked through all the cables that came with the AX1200i. It's says "EATX 12V" next to the 8-pin connector on the Motherboard. Anyone maybe have a solution or explanation on this? Thanks for answer, Theoveturn ;)

Thanks for answer, Theoveturn ;) I looked at the socket on the AX1200i and the EATX connector on the MOBO, using photos on NewEgg, and both are identical so if one end will fit in the PSU, it should fit on the MOBO (btw, to be safe only use the PSU end of the cable in the PSU). I'm thinking you may be using the wrong cable, Corsair slipped in a wrong cable, or Corsair failed to supply the correct one. Look at your cable. One end should be a single piece connector with eight pins. The other end should be a two piece connector that can be plugged into a single socket side by side with four pins on each half of connector. If the two piece connector has six pins on one half and two pins on the other half, that is a PCI-e connector power connector, normally used on GPU cards, and it means that is the wrong cable. The cable probably will identify which PSU(s) it is supposed to fit on the single connector end.
