750D Top Fan Vibration (SP120)

Hey everyone. I've been posting this lately, and I cant seem to find a solution for it. I'm literally pulling my hair out. I'm hoping i can get assistance, or someone as dealt with this issue. I recently purchased a Corsair 750D Full Tower Case. Once I realized my H100i could use Push Pull, I immediately bought some Twin Pack SP120 High Performance PWM Fans. I added them to the bottom for push, and left the stock fans up top in pull. Every once and a while I would get a "whine"/"humming" sound coming from the fan as it vibrated off the top of my 750D. It was no biggie, as it was almost temporary.

However, when I noticed the prices dropped for the twin pack of fans, I purchased another two so the fans would match. Now I'm using a total of 4 SP120 HP PWM fans. Once I added the retail SP120's to the top of my H100i, it constantly vibrates the case of my 750D, and it is absolutely annoying as heck. If I press down in the center of the fans, it will go away, but is slightly there (make since?). I absolutely love these fans and the aesthetics of them. But I cant seem to get rid of the vibration bouncing off the case and fan.

I don't own any HDD, except for an SSD. So I know for a fact it isn't causing that. I know people would ask, so I'm pointing that out now.

I went to frozenCPU.com and I noticed they sell XSPC Radiator Gaskets, which help with static pressure, and it also says that it protects it from vibration. I ordered three, and wasted 2 (they are terrible, I hate to say). I had one in between my case and SP120, but the vibration was still there. So now I'm at a dead end trying to end the vibration.

I would really appreciate some help, as I cant find it at all. I have already RMA'd like 2 sets of fans (they were faulty, grinding), so I know for a fact it isn't a bad bearing.

Thank you so much for that. I used the leftover foam from the "crappie" radiator gaskets I purchased and added a small length of foam around all the things you showed in the picture. So far, it's nice and quite. I'll update it within the next few days to see if it's perminately gone. I very much appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Whoops! I meant to add rubber washers between the fan and the case on the mounting screws, I wouldn't actually bend the tines too much, they don't have much clearance before hitting the fan blades.

Hmmm... It could be one of the side panels vibrating near the top of the case. That had happened to me in one of my adventures to eliminate rattle on my 750d, thought it was my radiator causing it for awhile. It was really hard to pinpoint the noise and I discovered the solution incidentally when I was going to remove the radiator/fans to figure out what was causing it.

Okay, this time I think I solved it. :)

All this time, I think I had them screwed in wrong. Because I'm using Push Pull, It went like this (Long screw>Case>Top fan>Rad>Bottom Fan>Long screw. So I was only using long screws (the 8 that came with the H100i, and some that came with my 750D case). By doing it that way, nothing was really holding the fan into place, except the tightening of the radiator (does that make sense). It was basically squeezing the fan into place.

What I did was this--- (Screw that came with SP120>Case>Top fan>Short screws that came with H100i>Rad>Bottom fan>Long screw). So now, I have something that is actually holding the top fans into place.

The screws that came with the SP120's are a pain in the *****, but I think this solved the problem.

So apparently that didn't fix the issue either. I had to RMA a few fans because they would grind, or the screw would rip out the entire screw socket. What kind of washers do you recommend? Because if I use the rubber washers that come with the case, I cant screw them in because the screws that come with the SP120's aren't long enough

I know this is an old thread, but I just added two AF140's on top of my 750D and had the same vibration issue. The fan closest to the front of the case was causing the issue. When I press on the grill lightly above the fan it would stop, or if I pressed on one of the rubber grommets that are already built into the case it would stop. It didn't matter which grommet. I tried tightening the four mounting screws more, no help.. I finally decided to loosen them up a little at a time until finally it stopped. I think the already installed grommets that aren't used in this case are the issue. the fan towards the back does not come into contact with them. If the front 4 screws are too tight, the fan that does touch the grommets, it forces a bulge on the grill as the screws pull on the fan causing pressure on the grommets which causes the slight bulge and vibration.
