dms1
I just got the H100i cooler and Corsair link working properly (I think) and the pump stays at a steady 2248 RPM no matter what mode I am on (Performance, Balanced, Quiet), Is this normal? The fans change RPM.
HOODedAssault
Yes the pump stays at a constant rpm. The fans are what the different profiles control. They will only ramp up as heat rises but the profile determines how far the rpm can go.
dms1
Thanks for the confirmation. Another question, when doing prime95 testing my cpu gets to 88C but no higher. Is 88C good or should it be cooler with the H100i?
HOODedAssault
This is no offense to you at all but I think we need a big banner at the beginning of cooling section. Haswell overvolt by .1v if the program your using uses avx. Which prime95 does. So if your stock voltage is say 1.15v under load, it'll be 1.25v under prime because of the avx. The only way to stop this is by using something that doesn't support it to check temps. Or manually set voltage. If using auto or offset the cpu will act this way. Only way to stop it is manually setting voltage.
dms1
OK, Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure exactly what your talking about (yet) but I will read more posts here and figure it out. Thanks
jameyscott
If you need help with Haswell, just PM me if you can't find what you need. I'll help you along or help steer you the right way! :) I'm out of the Haswell scene now. (Two X79 rigs instead), but I do have a lot of experience with Haswell. Had two 4770k's at 4.7ghz, and I'd even be willing to skype with you and help if you really need it. (If I"m not too busy working!)
