Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 28, 2004 Can you tell me the exact model# of your memory module and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me if you have the latest BIOS installed on your system and the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set? Doppler
Can you tell me the exact model# of your memory module and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me if you have the latest BIOS installed on your system and the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set? Mem Mod make and # : Corsair Platinum, Twinx, CMX-2700LLPT, XMS2705v2.2, 0419231-5 , XMS2700 512MB 333MHZ 2225 (Thats every # I can find on the Mod ) Motherboard : ASUS A7N8X Deluxe with on board sound Processor : AMD Athlon Thouroughbred 1.7 giga 333-FSB BIOS I dont know the only seetings that were changed was voltage to processor because it was detecting it at a lower speed than the chip was rated . My original order minus the box and a few other items : ABOVE OEM CPUs HAVE 1 YEAR WARRANTY VGA ASUS|V9280STVD Ti4200 8X RET MOUSE MS|INTELLIMOUSE EXPLORER 3.0a MB NFORCE2 A7N8X DELUXE ASUS RTL DDR 2x256MBTWINX512-2700LLPT COR RT KB MS|INTERNET PS/2* CPU AMD|2700 /333 ATHLON XP RTL HD 120GB|SEAGATE ST3120024A OEM POWER SP|431W(P4)EG465P-VE(FCA) RTL CDRW 52X24X52 |ASUS CRW-5224A RTL Here is the goofy part, the modules I want an RMA for were actually a replacement for RAM I returned to you back about 6 months ago . Back then I had just built 3 units with your RAM in it . One went to my sis who is not real good with CPU's she was complaining about random reboots ....so I narrowed it down to a bad module ... so what I did was I gave her 1 stick of my RAM so I could return both sticks to you for a replacement ....... well naturally when I got the replacement Ram I wanted to be sure it was stable so I installed in my unit and just installed what was originally my RAM in her computer all was running great with the new RAM untill about a month ago than I suddenly started to expierence the same probs I was having with my sisters unit 6 month's before ....... so the jist of this is that this RAM went bad the 1st time in my sisters PC and the replacement Ram went bad in my PC . The Original RAM I bought for my PC still works great in either Computer In fact out of the 3 sets of matched pairs I bought 2 of them Run so well I wouldnt even consider buying RAM from elsewhere .
