SP120 PWM HP Retail and 750D Vibration

I'm seriously at the last straw. For the past month, I have RMA'd twice for my Corsair SP120 PWM HP twin packs. At first I thought that it could be a problem with my H100i (using push/pull) and I was sent a replacement along with my 2 sets of SP120 twin packs (today). I just installed the H100i, and it was completely quite (no grinding or nothing). Then when I was playing Battlefield 4, I noticed that they were vibrating against my case (my only belief to what the sound is). So I decided to add the "anti-vibration" rubber washers. This sound is down, but now its still continuing to vibrate.

Should I just ask Amazon to send me another case? would that fix the problem?

can you press on the fans and get the noise to stop or stop the fans from spinning and get the noise to stop?

reason i ask is vibration from other components can transfer to others such as a fan,,,hdd's are famous for creating vibrations but not make a noise yet transfer the noise elsewhere.

i just cant see 2 sets of fans doing the same thing.it sounds like you condemned the first set without verifying resulting in still having the problem...

***EDIT***- I am not a liar (not that you said it in those words)... And I am very honest. The first two set I had did for a fact have a grinding/buzzing sound, and that is why I RMA'd them. Then the second ones I received did the same thing. Even after taking the fans out of the case, all I heard was grinding. This was on all sets I have RMA'd. This was also along with the vibration coming from the fans and the case.

Hi again wytnyt. I have figured out the problem. (I also RMA's the fans because they were making a grinding sound even after taking them out of the case and off the h100i).

It turns out the SP120 fans are vibrating the top of my 750D. Whenever I press down on the fans (from the top of my case), it goes away completely. But there is nothing I can do to stop the vibration. Ever since I installed the retail SP120 PWM HP fans, the "anti vibration screw holes" are the reason for it. Whenever I had the stock h100i fans installed, I never had the issue. I even replaced them with the stock before I sent in for RMA, and no sound at all. Completely quite.

Ive been researching this for quite awhile, and today I found out that a "fan silencer/gasket" can possibly get rid of the vibration if I install it between my fan and case.

What do you think about all this?

you misconstrued my intentions with my post,i in no way tried to accuse you of lying,,its just that ive seen many times that one problem can aggravate another,

i have seen some fans have shaft play and mounting them one way then they make noise but flip them and their quiet.i have also from personal experience had a hdd make my pump sound like it had a up and down buzzing noise that i never could isolate until the drive finally failed...

if you can push on a fan and the noise stops then a rubber gasket likely will work or even using 4 rubber washers.

but the main thing is,your on the road to a noise nuisance recovery.;):

I understand that, and I didn't meant to bash you like that.

Anyways, I'm tempted to buy these http://www.frozencpu.com/products/17862/ex-rad-465/XSPC_2_x_120mm_Radiator_Gasket_-_3mm.html?id=TyV5J8tc&mv_pc=1215

I have already tried the rubber washers that came with my 750d case. No change. At around 1300-1400RPM, that's when it begins to vibrate obnoxiously. I'm deciding on buying 3 of those gaskets, but this is really my first time thinking that might solve the issue. With three, I could also add them in between all fans and the radiator and the case. I assume that would still create better static pressure.

I can get one for $2.50, but shipping is $3.99. So I might as well as get three, rather than deciding later and having to pay the $3.99 again. Please let me know what you think. It's weird that I didn't have this issue with the stock h100i fans. It must be the anti vibration screw holes causing it. Dunno how though :)

yes please do post your finding here in your post as it will surely help others with like problems..

anything that moves will create a degree of vibration and for the most part, most cases can absorb the vibration but when combined with other moving components,,noise can result and can be a pain to get rid of.

but it looks like your on the right track..;):

I remember you mentioning HDD, but I don't have one (only an SSD). So it makes me believe that the fan is the only cause for the vibration. And like I said before, it's odd that I never had the vibration issue with the stock H100i fans. I'll let you know by the end of the week.

Someone else was having issues with their fans making the vibration, and I told him I was going to try the gaskets to cease the vibration. I really hope it works.

Alright Im back, and no solution to the problem. I went and spent $11.11 for radiator gaskets (it says they are suppose to cease vibration, yet they didn't) from FrozenCPU.com. The Gaskets were complete junk. I only went away with one, as the 2 other got screwed up. I almost stripped my H100i screw holes again.

I just don't understand the problem. I never had a vibration sound when I had the stock H100i fans, only the SP120 Retail fans

However, if I press down in the center of the fans, the vibration sound goes away.

I just don't know what to do
