craige
I am thinking to buy Corsair Vengence Pro, but it doesn't seems to have Gold colour. Am I mistaken ? Specs I want to buy are: 16Gb... 2x8gb modules @ 1866Mhz
LangZone
Looks like there is a 1600mhz and 2400mhz kit in gold. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-pro-series-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr3-dram-1600mhz-c9-memory-kit-cmy16gx3m2a1600c9a http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-pro-series-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr3-dram-2400mhz-c10-memory-kit-cmy16gx3m2a2400c10a I recommend the first kit as you wouldn't see a real world difference between 1600mhz and 1866mhz. emissary42
Considering the minimal price difference between the CMY16GX3M2A1600C9A and CMY16GX3M2A2400C11A its a no brainer to just get the faster kit (here in Europe at least).
craige
Price is not an issue its the color problem.... As I have abserved tht Gold color is not manufactured in 1866Mhz at all OR its not listed due to some reason , but user Langzone above also couldn't find it. LangZone
Then I suggest getting the 2400mhz if your motherboard can support it and if not the 1600mhz would be fine. 1886mhz vs 1600mhz would not see any real world change.
emissary42
@craige: If you check both model numbers, you will see that both are Vengeance Pro Gold type kits and you pay like a ~ 7,- Euro premium for the faster kit. So why not just get the CMY16GX3M2A2400C11A right away instead of looking for something in between (available or not)?
craige
Availability is a big issue here so am not sure if I will be getting gold color or not, same for higher speed modules but will try to order it... Anyways, can you guys tellme which color is looking good on my Mobo. http://imgur.com/jdlJ5MF http://imgur.com/O5qR3hW PS: Will be Using Corsair 760t Black Case

As I have abserved tht Gold color is not manufactured in 1866Mhz at all OR its not listed due to some reason , but user Langzone above also couldn't find it. We have an 1866 MHz version. All the gold ones that I could find: CMY8GX3M2A1600C9A CMY8GX3M2A1866C9A CMY16GX3M2A1600C9A CMY16GX3M2A2400C10A CMY16GX3M2A2400C11A
HOODedAssault
Get the z97-a instead and get silvers. That board has nothing to gain over the -a from what I can see.

HOODedAssault
It'd be awesome if corsair made the colors changeable. Like the h105 and sp fans.

Even if you exchange the clip, the model sticker will still be in the original color. So these would need to be changed to a neutral color. I can see it happening for higher end kits at least, where the extra cost for additional clips would not affect the overall price that much. HOODedAssault
There's no clip. It's a sticker right on the heatsink. I meant it'd be nice if they made ram like this that come with 3 or 4 options for colour. Not adjust the current kits.
craige
Thx a lot guys.... So now its clear tht Gold color only comes in - 1600Mhz & 2400Mhz. Also, My mobo color is pretty dull gold, and as I will be using a full window case I want something to look stunning... and I think Red sticks look better and if I use gold sticks it matches well but would look as pale as the mobo all blending together.... What ya' all all think?
LangZone
Both would look nice but I would recommend having a couple more accents of red on other products in there as well.

I thought this is well known: http://abload.de/img/e42corsairvengeancepr3fj1w.jpg Don't try this at home of course, you wouldn't want to void your warranty. HOODedAssault
O well guess I'm a retard. I've even had them in my hand lol. They should easily be able to do what I said then. Prob don't want people breaking them when trying to get them apart.
