HardwareMonitore.exe

looking for advice also.

My ax1200i was reaching ><108F and BSOD'ing win 7.

installed Corsair-Link-Installer-RC-v2_6_5214.exe and initial open worked well.

On restart of win 7, USB drivers failed.

Two days of Safe mode to enable mouse and reinstall hub drivers... back to win 7 Ui operating.

At win startup corsair link Ui starts to open, then fails(have to minimize to get rid of failed Link Ui window), but can access taskbar to see temps ect.

Task scheduler shows "Start Corsair link"

Task scheduler does not show HardwareMonitore.exe

Both "C:\Program Files (x86)\Corsair\Corsair Link\CorsairLink.exe" and

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folders do not have a "HardwareMonitore.exe" in them.... I assume the CorsairLink.exe is supposed to create the "HardwareMonitore.exe"? At startup?

Question, is there a separate file("HardwareMonitore.exe") available and way to install so as not to have to deal with usb 3 hub driver conflicts again with a re-install-corsair link?

(note- I've got the link cable installed into a-add on USB 3 hub/ Z87( board plugins filled )

but as all info shows in task bar corsair(fans, pumps ect) I don't see a problem there.

If a reinstall is necessary, example possible MSE (no Defender or other virus protection installed)conflict I would rather have a way to set Ax1200i fan (current profile ax1200i fan speed 60% gets me down to 32C and stable) at 60% without using corsair link? Asus suite is not an option (it stinks!) as I want that failed Corsairlink Ui page to quit showing at every startup.

Thanks for any advise.

HWMonitor is what your looking for as CLink is built on the same SDK but it wont give you details of any corsair hardware.

The install of Corsair link is supposed to create a file, , but didn't anywhere I can find, it doesn't exist from my installation and is required for the UI screen to operate.

That is the file I'm looking for, because the installation created almost two days to recover from. Even reset my Win7 UI clock to 2009... about the issuance of the UI -Win 7 individual software and eliminated all restore points except that imaginary 2009 date.

I certainly will not wish to through another installation as the process may be repeated. If the Corsair-Link-Installer-RC-v2_6_5214, which I loaded from this site, cannot be patched by finding HardwareMonitore.exe that is supposed to be created with Corsair-Link-Installer-RC-v2_6_5214 and locate it so that the task scheduler has access, I'll either await a updated version and see if it has no problems as other people try it, or deal with the Ax1200i fan issue another way without depending on the CorsairLink which I counted on as was the purpose of purchase.

Just about nothing scares me more than resetting .net's' lolol.

I use my 'puter for a lot of graphics with about a 2000 plugings between the several programs.. Adobe 3Ds max Cinema4d ect ect ect...several .net's' are installed.

I read through the threads again late last night and looked into the desktop folders 'corsair' and found..

C:\Users\mike\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\Profiles\Profiles..

A file dated 1/1/2009-mikes.xml (date is well before 'puter build and matched with the restore point the corsairlink installation forced and I had to go through all the missing drivers for Hubs, reset clocks, get hardware pluging refunctioning again-mice, keyboard ect.)

I removed the mikes.xml and still think I had removed old profiles before updating to new 'link', maybe I hadn't.. what everrrrrrr. Restart of 'puter this AM and 'Link UI is now working! The UI window is staying active and can be minimized and expanded and settings are controllable, each component showing, each possible temp/fan:bigeyes: point shows.

New C:\Users\mike\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\Profiles\Profiles-mine.xml was created at startup with date 5/28/2014... I assume the date of issue for the link version.

Task scheduler shows 'Start Corsair link'

Task scheduler shows no other 'corsair' exe. Somewhat confused as I thought a 'hardware monitor' was supposed to be in the scheduler.

Need to get caught up on a lot of work but will check back and confirm if stable.

On an aside note, with all the parameters having to be made with the code to enable a third party interface like this one, Frankly, I surprised Corsair got it working considering everything involved. Today I'm grateful, lolol. Hope it lasts!

Thanks to everybody whom responded to my inquires.

Just a follow-up. While some of the threads claimed the HardwareMonitore.exe had to be apparent in the Scheduler, my install does not and the UI window seems to be represented by a 'process' which I have two named

CorsairLINK.exe *32 and

CorsairLink.exe *32

Giving a 'bar' window with stats and access to a Bar UI.

I had difficulties with the install wiping out drivers for the Hubs, but sorted out, then discovery of reset of Restore points-date(1-1-2009) led me to find a file in portfolio dated 1-1-2009 (user profile) and removing it allowed UI to operate.

The controls work, but a little difficult to control Ax1220i fan speed.
