jameyscott
Where did you buy it from?
Administrators Technobeard Posted June 22, 2014 Administrators Share Posted June 22, 2014 The receipt would be needed to validate the warranty, which is what was stated in your ticket multiple times.
Lady Fitzgerald
Would it be possible to validate a warranty based on manufacturing date, if one was lucky enough to have a product that had been manufactured recently enough? Some manufacturers do that, such as WD, when a receipt isn't available.
snapper69
I had to do an RMA recently and I couldn't find the invoice, so I went to Dabs.com, downloaded the invoice from my account and emailed that to Corsair. Can you do that?

Most online shops keep older invoices saved. Like Snapper said, check with the store to see if you still have it saved.
sandstorm1
good idea is to keep receipts and such in a location you know where they are. too many times I have lost the receipt and the part has been faulty.

Even better, scan the receipt. Keep the original in case you run into an anal company that still needs the physical receipt. Make sure the drive the scanned copy is stored on is backed up. I scan everything also. I've even been cutting the spines off my books and scanning them (that is a seriously HUGE project that I'm a bit over halfway through). I still need to finish my photos. I'm 65 so you can guess how many I took before going digital.

Lady Fitzgerald
Because a portion of a HDD (35GB so far) takes up far less room and weighs one heck of a lot less than 40 banker boxes full of books. Books are easier to read on an e-book reader or my TV screen (it's patched into my computer). An e-book reader is easier to lug around than a book plus the reader can hold quite a few books. Digitized books are easier to organize and find using a good e-book management program (I use caliber). Dead tree books can burn, rot, fade, get ruined by water, etc. whereas digitized books are easy to backup to prevent loss.
Administrators Technobeard Posted July 5, 2014 Administrators Share Posted July 5, 2014 Sorry, brain fart. I mis-read it and thought you were scanning JUST the spines and not the books :)
Lady Fitzgerald
And I wrote all that for that?! It's all good, man. Wait until you're my age and the brain farts increase and compete with the other kind.
