H100i Red > Pink LED and Profile Save Annoyances, what's the fix?

So..

Corsair Link said there was updates when I booted my PC up a few days ago. I updated it. Now, the LED color does not stay the same after a shutdown and start-up. However, it does stay the same if I just do a restart.

I have my LED set to red on my H100i within the Corsair Link software. When I do a shutdown, the next time I boot it up, it turns pink and I have to manually change it in the software every time.

Also, why does it keep asking me if I want to save the changes made to this profile every time I close/minimize the software even when I have made zero changes?

Obviously these issues don't hinder performance, but it's irritating and I'd rather just get this resolved than go to the store and buy a different cooler from a different company. It's not necessary for this crap to happen so frequently. For a product that's been out as long as it has, you would think Corsair might want to work on the bugs a bit more. I feel like I am playing DayZ SA Alpha with this software it's so buggy.

Everything was working fine until the last update.. and now it just seems I am getting the problems that people were getting over 12 months ago! ... NZXT air coolers are looking much more attractive now.

If anyone knows of a fix, please feel free to make suggestions.

OS: Win 7 64-bit

Software Version: 2.6.5214

H100i FW Version: 1.07

Nothing huh? Surely I can't be the only one with this problem. I see it's happened to many people in the past but never any real solution other than downgrading and flashing to an older version.. however, where are older versions able to be downloaded from?

There are many users with this problem, refer to this thread:

I see this very issue myself, but it is far down on my list. Getting an accurate CPU temp, and being able to control the fans reliably is most important, and the software isn't doing that for me... so I'm not that concerned with LED color.

I've messed around with this cooler long enough. It's getting pulled from my system.

I hear you.. I only have the H100i because my H100 pump started making that damn noise you see all over the place on every forum and every youtube video it seems.. when I RMA'd my H100, they sent me the H100i, and it's been nothing but problems with this software connected to it. I have fixed all the other issues I had previously, now this is the last one left to fix. If it doesn't get fixed it will be yanked as well and Corsair won't be cooling my builds anymore. It seems like in the last 12 months, Corsair's quality and service has gone down the ****ter with no paper.

  • 3 weeks later...

I have called, they say it was shipped 5 days ago; but it was scheduled to ship June 27th via express.. Just relaying my frustration with Corsair.

and BTW they gave me an answer as to why the LED acts like this.. the LED controller in the pump is bad. So anyone who has this issue should RMA their unit.

it usually takes around 6 business days not including weekend/holidays to go from west to east coast,im not sure where you are tho...

Just relaying my frustration with Corsair. .

unfortunately expressing your frustration here while valid as it may be,is the wrong place as the mods that are here are of different departments, thats why i usually suggest calling.
