ozzy1925
Hello, i would like to learn the dimension of the incoming ddr4 rams.I checked some videos about dominator Platinum ddr4 and they look like they will be the same size as ddr3 .Is that correct? emissary42
The JEDEC DDR4 standard PCB is a little bit higher than the DDR3 one, but since corsair uses a custom design for its Dominator Platinum series anyways, that shouldn't matter at all. ozzy1925
thanks for the reply, i am planning to watercool the rams with those: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-ram-monarch-module-black-2pcs.html do you think will they fit?
emissary42
Since you would have to remove the heatspreader anyways, is see no point in going for a Dominator Platinum series kit. The heatspreader and the lighting is one of the big selling points of these kits and probably adds quite a bit to the price. Also with other series like the Vengeance Pro you don't have the same issue with the PCB height and those will fit no problem. To be honest, i don't think the EK-RAM Monarch do fit the DDR3 Dominator Platinums. But i am no watercooling guy myself, so this is just a first look impression.
