Bich
Hi there. I posted earlier about problems with an Asus A7N8X-E deluxe and have followed the various threads on both this forum and the Asus forum. Contrary to what Asus said, it was a mb problem as determined by a CompUSA tech (two bad mem slots). So now I'm here to ask about compatability with another mb - not Asus (I don't trust a company that adamantly denies their mb has a problem). I'm wondering if the CMX512-3200C2 XMS3202v4.2 will work with a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro mb with an AMD 64 3200+ processor? If this memory will work, I was wondering what the suggested settings should be. I remember seeing that the settings should be 2.5,3,3,6 for AMD processors - I'm just wondering if this is still true with the 64 bit processor from AMD? Thanks for the help. ferry_g
Hi Bich, I'm using K8NSNXP with a stick of XMS512-3200C2. Never use 2 pcs of it cause it will downclock its freq. automatically from 200 to 166 mhz (Athlon64 limitation). I've tested that board with TwinX512-3200LLPT and found no trouble. Happy computing.
