Ofesad
Hi everyone! Im Ofesad from argentina. Im upgrading my pc, so I already bought a AMD FX8350 + Asus M5A99X EVO R 2.0 motherboard. The question I have is: I wanna put 16gb of ram. (2x8gb). Running at 1600mhz stable. I see that there's too much information over the internet, but, also, many problems with configuration. So, what memory kits would you recommend? Sadly, here, in Argentina, I dont have a lot of options (Kingston, Gskill, Corsair, mostly). In fact, finding a 2x8gb kit it's quite difficult. I was browsing and a local store has the CMY16GX3M2A1866C9 and CMY16GX3M2A1600C9 for almost the same price. That, of course, would be my first option, but still I wanna ask you what would you recommend? I have been overclocking other pcs but this time I would like to not deal with all the problems and issues related with the stability and running tests. I mean, if you say that some other sticks would work even better or have a better "compatibility" with the mb/processor to get 1600mhz, I will try to get those memory kits. Thank you for reading, Ill be expecting your comments and ideas. Ofesad Ps: sorry for my bad english :p:
HOODedAssault
Should both run just fine. I'd get 1866 kit n if u have issue at that speed drop to 1600 9-9-9-24. For moderate price diff might as well.
pegotico
your processor supports 1866 ram http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series%20FX-8350.html and your motherboard supports up to 1866 without overclocking so get the 1866!!! Ofesad
Thank you guys! I just found a local store that also has the CMZ16GX3M2A1866C9, more expensive than the other (i dont know why). Is there a real difference between the Vengeance and the Vengeance Pro? What kit you think is best to get a easier and faster stable and working gig? Thank you! Ofesad
Another option: GSkill (Sniper) F3-1866C9D-16GSR Cheaper than any of the others.
