firefightsquad
I have a 120GB force GT that seems to have dismally low read and write speeds across the boards. I have been dealing with this problem since I got the drive, which was well over a year ago and now I am set on fixing it. I upgraded firmware to version 5.05, and updated my BIOS, and I am in AHCI mode. Here are the screenshots for the benchmarks that I ran. ATTO AS SSD I have also done a good amount of the typical SSD tweaks like disabling the pagefile, defrag, and hibernation. I think that's it, and the speeds are still terrible. Thanks for helping me out.
Darkcyde
You have a MoBo that supports SATA II speeds only. Advertised speeds are for SATA III MoBos. That is as fast as you'll get on your current MoBo.

firefightsquad
Good thought, but that's actually not true: http://www.evga.com/articles/00571/ My motherboard has 2 Sata 6G ports
bogdan_kr
In my opinion reported read speeds are too high for SATA II controller. Also take a look at AS SSD screenshot - it says mv91xx. It seems that this motherboard has: - six SATA II connectors from south bridge - two SATA III ports from Marvell 88SE9128 Chipset firefightsquad, I am sorry to say but most likely you will not get better speeds with this Marvell controller - take a look at this article - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/storage-controller-performance-ssd,3540.html
Yellowbeard
Marvell SATA3/6G controllers are pathetic, at best. You'll get better actual performance from the Intel SATA 2/3G controller.
firefightsquad
Alright guys thanks for the responses. And I thought EVGA would do better than throwing the cheapest possible controllers in their motherboards...
Yellowbeard
Alright guys thanks for the responses. And I thought EVGA would do better than throwing the cheapest possible controllers in their motherboards... It's not that so much. Asus, Gigabyte, et al used Marvell at that time because Marvell was pretty much the only game in town. And, at a glance, in benchmarks, those controllers performed OK. But, in real world usage, the Intel controller mops the floor with those Marvell controllers, regardless of advertised speeds.
