RhooK20
Hey guys it's been bugging me for a long time now and I feel like somethings off. My CPU and water temp has a big difference for me, according to Corsair Link, CPU Temp is 42-44C and Water Temp is around 37-38C at idle, I was expecting that they should be around the same temp since CPU usage is less than 10%. Is this normal or something is really off, I don't have any problems under load though, it just keeps bugging me
no1yak
You can expect about 5 to 6 degrees difference between the water temp and CPU on idle. My ambient room temp is 26c and my water temp is showing 32c on idle. Cpu is 36c. This all depends on the ambient air temp passing through the rad. wytnyt
the more load your run,the bigger difference there will be,try it

RhooK20
the more load your run,the bigger difference there will be,try it I have no issues under load and it runs great, I was just wondering during idle how big of a difference it should when idle have since close to none is running. It seems with air cooling I had before (CM Hyper 212+) the cpu temp is lower at idle but higher during load. CPU is i5-2500K running at stock at the moment if this helps. Yes I have a lot to learn with water cooling although I have a bit of understanding how water cooling works. Well the point of this thread is really just idle since that's the only thing that seems "wrong" with me, and by idle I mean, I leave my system on idle for more than 2 hours and the water and cpu temp is always around 5C apart and never close. aside from that, everything is good. HOODedAssault
Pretty sure corsair link shows socket temp. Read temps with real temp or whatever program you were using with your 212+ I bet your idles will b the same if not better. N wytnyt is right they will never be the same. How it works.
