xarlok
Hello guys i'm new here and i'm about to buy a Corsair RM650 for my system, first of all i would like to ask. Should i worry about the lot code 1341 and below on this corsair version or this only affected the RM750 and RM850 versions? i'd like to know another thing, i live in a place where it's often hot let's say 32ºc - 36ºc in the afternoon. Is this going to be a problem for this psu? considering the fan doesnt spin unless it's under 40% load or the fan also operates when its under high temperatures?. For example let's say my room its very hot 39ºc, will this trigger the fan even if the psu is under 10% Load after i turn on my computer? or do i really have to push the 40% no matter what temperature the psu is to make it spin? Thanks in advance i hope any of you guys can help me clearing out my doubts I'm not saying that my system runs very hot, in fact my current gpu which is a HD 7770 reaches 30ºc/65ºc when playing heavy games at 1080p on high settings and my processor fx 6300 3.5 gz reaches 12ºc/45ºc too, which are okay idle/under load temperatures considering i live in a hot city, but it really concerns me because its labeled behind the box that those PSU only support 40ºc max i'm also planning on buying a new asus direct cu ii gtx 760 which will draw more power
Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted June 12, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 12, 2014 Hello guys i'm new here and i'm about to buy a Corsair RM650 for my system, first of all i would like to ask. Should i worry about the lot code 1341 and below on this corsair version or this only affected the RM750 and RM850 versions? Only the 750 and 850W. The 650W is a completely different platform. i'd like to know another thing, i live in a place where it's often hot let's say 32ºc - 36ºc in the afternoon. The fan is actually thermostatically controlled. The 40% load number is based on running at 25°C ambients. If the ambient temperature is higher, the fan will turn on sooner. Thanks for replying :) this clears all of my doubts about the fan what if it comes faulty and i need to request a RMA from mexico, do i have to pay for the shipment? because that would be like 60$ and i don't think it will be worth it, that would be my last question i already tried to contact corsair support about this but they haven't replied me
