Carbide Air 540, Damaged/Scratched Side Panel.

As the title mostly says, my Brand new Carbide Air 540's Windowed side panel was scratched pretty badly.

An its in a Really bad spot, which is basically right over the area of the CPU, if you were to look at the case from the window side, the scratch is about 4 1/2" from the rear of the case and about 6" from the top.

So basically where the CPU is on the motherboard. I know that trying to *Buff* it out will only make it worse cause its acrylic.

I'm wondering since its just the windowed side panel *Black Version*, is it possible to get a replacement ? Or does it have to be physically *Broken* to be replaced, cause as it is. It was Damaged on Delivery, I just received this case as of 6-9-2014.

Also, almost forgot to mention this, but that scratch is on the Inside of the side panel, and I believe that the case was possibly dropped on one of its corners and knocked the SSD cage loose, as the SSD cage was in the windowed side compartment when I lifted the case out of the box.

And when it was delivered they had the case on its side, Not exactly happy about that either .

I have added a photo showing the scratch, I know this is being Very Nitpicky, but I didn't buy a $130+ case to have it Scratched like this on Delivery.

This is my 1st time dealing with an issue like this, so if there is anything else needed please let me know :D:.

And to note. I have already sent in a ticket as well :D:.

Ok, No problem there, as long as I know there take care of it I'm good with that. :D:. I'm actually Extremely surprised with the build quality o.O, I've never seen a case this well thought out or easy to use. An there not using super Flimsy metal either, its actually got some Strength to it, which is a huge plus :D:.

An the packaging is pretty robust as well. Still, not surprised FedEx found a way to damage it.

I purchased my Air 540 from Amazon, and the first one (which was double-boxed) came with numerous scratches on the windowed side panel. Amazon sent me another one (double-boxed), and it had numerous scratches on the side panel. I contacted Corsair, and they sent me a brand new side panel which was flawless. Corsair Customer Support FTW!

Just received my new side panel this morning *Thanks Corsair!*, am actually surprised that it got here as fast as it did :O.

How ever I think there guys at Q&A and Packaging need to change there methods of detecting defects and packaging procedures. When I got the panel it looked ok until I removed the plastic film on the acrylic. I immediately noticed a *mark* which looked like a finger nail scratch going from 1 corner towards the center of the panel.

Now this wasn't really a problem for me cause I just buffed it out with a wet washcloth followed by a dry one, and that totally buffed it out. But there is a Faint mark towards the front of the panel that I can't buff out, but its so hard to see from sitting at the desk that you'd literally have to take the side panel off an hold up to a light to even really see it lolz.

An the Defects I mentioned before, there small almost bubble like defects from when the acrylic was made/formed. So can't really do anything about those lol.

Other then those little issues I am pretty happy with the way this was handled, only gripe would be that there people in the packaging department need to be more careful with acrylic based items :/, They Scratch Easily! lolz.

I may have the same problem as you with the window. I got my case from NCIX and messaged CorsairGeorge via OCN right as I noticed the side panel looks like it has two scratches on the window but they could just be ripples in the plastic cover. I won't be taking my cover off until I'm done building the case to keep from any damage happening at my hand to the window. Never heard back from George and it's been several weeks. :-(
