Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 26, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 26, 2004 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/Optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-3200XL CPU Freq: 133 MHz (266 FSB) System Performance: User Define Memory Frequency: 100% Resulting Frequency: 133 MHz (266 FSB) Memory Timing: User Define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T DDR Reference Voltage: 2.7 Volts AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI 9200 or 9600 then 1.6 Volts suggested!* All other settings are motherboards defaults Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
LAs3R
ok i will try this tonite, anyway the cpu worked for more than 2 months with fsb >= 200Mhz with my previous modules (pc3200 c2pt) even if it is fsb 166Mhz ;): Btw, i ran memtest for 12 pass and i had more than 4000 errors. What i wanted to say in the first post is that firsts errors appear in the first pass thank you
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 27, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 27, 2004 Well your CPU is rated to run only at 133, running it at 200MHz is definitely more than enough for your CPU to handle, so please test the CPU and memory modules at those settings.
