Ho3n3r
I have just sent off my RMA to Corsair. However, we are forced to foot the shipping bill for a product with a lifetime warranty. The shipping($30) has cost me two thirds of the price I originally paid for the RAM, and as I understand it, I will have to pay for it on the back trip as well. Even if I don't have to pay for the return trip, I still think it's unfair to expect the customer to have to basically pay for almost a new one just to get an RMA done. Does this not feel wrong to anyone else? Am I expecting too much?
Synthohol
as I understand it, I will have to pay for it on the back trip as well. not true. Corsair pays shipping back to you. after 30 days of purchase most companies ive RMAd to require i pay shipping to their RMA depot. if your product is less than 30 days old you can ask for a prepaid shipping label. It's my first RMA. To me it just feels like borrowing a friend my car, and he breaks it after travelling a thousand miles, and then says he'll fix it, as long as I pay the transport back for it to my hometown. Doesn't feel right at all. Unless I was the cause of breaking it, which I wasn't.
fountainhead
Can anyone else confirm this? If I need to have a defective product replaced that is still under warranty, are there any circumstances under which Corsair will pay for the shipping both ways (i.e. via a pre-paid shipping label)? Is it something you just have to ask for? Or is it only if it's less than 30 days old in which case I could still just use my retailer's return policy? Lady Fitzgerald
I would just ask nicely for a prepaid shipping label if one isn't offered. The worst that can happen is they would say no.
fountainhead
Thanks for the replies. So far my K70 keyboard is working fine *knock on wood* and I suppose if I ever have to ask for a repair/replacement, I'll just request a label and see what they say. Nick779
Just ask. I was polite and requested a prepaid shipping label for my h105 and they took care of it no questions asked
