midget214
Hi I checked through the various topics - but I couldn't find an answer to my issue. I installed a H100i, Corsair Commander + Cooling node and a AX860i today. After lots of struggling I managed to finally link up my Commander, h100i and cooling node in corsair link (all connected via Corsair Commander) (I only managed to finally get this to work using the registry work around posted on the forums) I am now trying to link up my AX860i as well - but I cannot get it to work with corsair commander (I suspect it needs a firmware update) If I connect it via the USB header link included with the power supply it shows up - but something is very strange (see pic below) There is no version info detected from the PSU. Im hoping there is another Registry hack I can do that will fix this issue (similar to editing the values in VID_1B1C&PID_0C04). I really don't want to run another USB heade cable to my MB Edit: I am running Windows 8.1 64 Pro

midget214
As per my OP "There is no version info detected from the PSU. Im hoping there is another Registry hack I can do that will fix this issue (similar to editing the values in VID_1B1C&PID_0C04). I really don't want to run another USB heade cable to my MB" It seems that the firmware version is not being detected by Corsair Link
Toasted
That is fine, it shouldn't stop the software from detecting the power supply when its plugged into the Commander unit. Have you tried a different port on the Commander unit? Have you tried reinstalling the software, deleting the temporary files?
midget214
Yeah - I have tried re-installing the software several times - and moved the USB connector to different headers. I am also having trouble with my Cooling node. Sometimes it works, sometimes not (the cooling node is detected but the 2 connected fans and Temp Sensors are not shown). Also it seems like the Cooling node is not able to update from 1.2.8 to 1.2.9 (It remains on 1.2.8). There is also another firmware update popping up for a Unknown Recovery node version 0.0.0 (which is weird)
Toasted
Don't update the Cooling Node. I don't recall a FW 1.2.8 to 1.2.9 for the Cooling Node. Latest FW on this forum is 1.2.11. So you have a Cooling Node, Lightning Node, H100i and the AXi PSU connected to the Commander unit? If so, one of the nodes are not being detected in the current software. Can you try a previous version of the software and see if anything changes? (Make sure you delete the temp files before installing a different version). I'm guessing one the nodes have a bad firmware if the updater is showing a recovery firmware.
midget214
I finally managed to link my H100i, ax860i and commander units and everything is reporting correctly in Corsair Link (The ax860i only reports values via Corsair Commander in Corsair Link v2.5.5145 - It doesn't work with the latest version) My Cooling node though is not reporting anything. The hooked up fans are spinning - but its not being detected by Corsair Link. I have tried different ports on the Commander unit but not luck. I even tried connecting the cooling unit directly onto a USB header using the adapter that came with the PSU. Im not sure what else I can try. midget214
Update: Finally got everything to work - what a PITA :p I had a look at this thread and thought I would try installing v2.1.1 and upload the firmware to my cooling node (on channel 7). It showed unknown node - but the firmware loaded. Removed 2.1.1 and Re-installed v2.5.5145 and all nodes are now reporting values.
