CPU i5 4670k High Temp H100i

Having recently updated the driver for my H100i I am getting high temp recordings for my CPU. Running idle the temp is around 55 deg c. Surely this should be lower. The other readings for GPU running idle is 25 deg c.

Rome 2 has crashed sometimes not sure whether this is due to the graphics driver or high temp CPU cut off. I recall seeing a temp of 90 deg c shortly after exiting Rome 2.

So before I fiddle around with the hardware what should be the temps for my rig whilst running idle and under stress for H100i.

Do we still have issues regarding win 8.1 64 bit OS or has the latest corsair link driver resolved the long standing issue or is it a beta version.

Can you recommend an alternative free software to determine the true temps

Lastly can you recommend the ideal settings for the fan control, is balanced satisfactory.

Ambient temp is anything between 17 Deg and 21 Deg (Room temp). The cpu tower comes with two fans seated to the front and rear of the case, close to the base. From looks of things only one is shown running the corsair link. The corsair pump fans are seated on the underside of case top.

The front case fan draws in air whilst the the rear and corsair fans push the air out.

So should the rear fan be turned round to drawn air in?

Have been away for a few days so apologises for not responding sooner.

unless you have your home temp around 60f,theres no way your reading are correct and this is assuming your computer will be the same which it will not as it will be higher.

id get temp readings from bios and go from there as using multiple thermal types can skew results and produce erroneous readings...
