glmurphy
Sorry for not posting for a couple of weeks. I spent the past 2 weeks preparing for and attending QuakeCon 2014 in Dallas, TX. The event was a large success and the case was well received. This build was designed and built for the Classic Case Mod competition held at QuakeCon every year. This event draws modders from all corners of the globe and the competition is fairly tough. There are 3 categories (Classic, Scratch-built and Id/Bethesda-themed) and the entries included a wide-ranging variety of projects. I came in 1st place for the Classic Case Mod category! I won in 2012 with my QuakeCon 800D build and I was a judge for the 2013 contest. Now that the competition is over, it is time to sit back and play some games on this new build!! Here are some photos of the completed project... http://i.imgur.com/oLyxNlp.jpg http://i.imgur.com/aRDz1pl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SMuHquu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/yCT4zWx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/uArabw7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/jIwu8mV.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NtRit3y.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IGj66Bn.jpg http://i.imgur.com/C2uV7i1.jpg http://i.imgur.com/lQgmkJr.jpg

Stillclock1
First and foremost, awesome build - very impressive. Question: Did you need to extend the ROG cable from the Front Base to Reach the motherboard port? I'm just barely able to make that stretch going through the middle of the case, let alone go behind. I have 900D and I would guess our motherboards are the same size (mine is VI Formula)

I just contacted their customer support and they sent it to me at no charge.
jarack1
Awesome build you really took your time and did an outstanding job. I am currently planning a 900D build and would ask if you could share your specs on your motherboard cover plate and mid-shelf.

Here is a link to their 900D parts: http://www.coldzero.eu/208-corsair-900d Here is the motherboard tray: http://www.coldzero.eu/motherboard-tray-covers/1873-900d-mb-tray-cover-midplate-extended-atx-rev2.html Here is the midplate: http://www.coldzero.eu/midplates/1488-900d-midplate-long-rev-3.html
snapper69
I'm impressed. I wish that I had the patience/skill/talent to do a build like this. I currently have 9 HDDs for storage plus one SSD for Windows 10 and one for my current games. The SSDs are currently Velcroed to the top of the HDD cages in the bottom, but I like your idea better. Ali_Baaba
Looks great! I'm a huge fan of building in the 900D, myself. (Alpha Centauri in my sig, below) But Alpha can't hold a light to this beastie! Keep up the great work, mate!
