gamword
Just bought Vengeance Pro DIMM Kit 32GB, DDR3-2133, CL11-11-11-27 (CMY32GX3M4A2133C11) when selecting the XMP it set the CPU VCCSA to 1.2V which is higher than recommended by ASUS overclocking guide (not to go over 1.1V for cpu VCCSA) The problem when set it to 1.1v and run prime 95 the computer will lockup no blue screen of death (the cpu fan will get quit) can I increase the ddr voltage? HOODedAssault
Vccsa is perfectly fine for X79. First try 1.15v tho. That's what i run. Mine sets like 1.35v when i select xmp lol. I run 1.15v tho. If i was feeling lazy I'd just set the 1.2v and leave it. Not going to do any damage at all.
HOODedAssault
Sorry I was wrong. Vccsa shouldn't really matter for memory. In rare cases yes, but vttcpu is the one that matters on the x79-deluxe. I'd stick with 1.1-1.15v on the vccsa and bump the vttcpu depending on what it's set at by the xmp. Wouldn't go over 1.2-1.25v.
gamword
The problem the xmp sets the vccsa to 1.2v. In the asus motherboard the VCCIO is the memory controller voltage.
