grhu8175
Hi Corsair Now that TX750M has gone EOL, may I know what is the official replacement for this model? I want to make sure that when I send in my TX750M for RMA at my local dealer, I will not be getting an inferior model as a replacement if TX750M is no longer in stock. Thanks. Administrators Technobeard Posted May 5, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 5, 2014 Please know that the local dealer's warranty policy has nothing to do with ours. Yes, they're EOL, but we may still have some in stock in our RMA depots. If we don't have them then the replacement should be a similar modular 750W PSU, probably the RM750. grhu8175
Hi Technobeard thanks for the prompt response. When I want to RMA my TX750M, i was offered CX750 as an replacement. Going by the specification and price, I was certain that I am being shortchanged and thus and trying to clarify here. I am sad to hear that Corsair wants to have nothing to do with the dealer's as it would be good if Corsair can have a say in this matter as i bought the PSU for your brand, not the dealers. Is there anything Corsair can assist in this matter? My TX750M is purchased from the official dealer in Singapore.
Administrators Technobeard Posted May 6, 2014 Administrators Share Posted May 6, 2014 We have no power over the dealer. They are a separate business entity from us. We cannot dictate their policy. If you'd like you can RMA it to us directly. If you'd like to do that, please create a support ticket at http://corsair.force.com/
sandstorm1
the RM 750 is a step backwards.. please tell me this is not the replacement I would receive? and if your going to reply what do you mean? google the rm750
grhu8175
When I purchased the item, the warranty terms and conditions in the box are provided by Corsair not the dealer, so i believe that legally Corsair do have a right to protect it's clients from being shortchanged with an inferior product. If i were to RMA directly with Corsair, can i be provided with a postage paid label for shipping as shipping from Singapore will be cost-prohibitive given the size and weight of the PSU. Thanks. On a side note, the latest batch of RM750 has got its thermal issues fixed, so i guess its not so bad.

Corsair Employees jonnyguru Posted May 8, 2014 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 8, 2014 the RM 750 is a step backwards.. please tell me this is not the replacement I would receive? and if your going to reply what do you mean? google the rm750 The RM750 is certainly NOT "a step backwards". It's 80 Plus Gold, fully modular, has a Zero RPM mode and supports some Link features. If you're just going to reference one review at HardOCP where he complains that Japanese capacitors aren't used, you're just listening to one person's opinion. When I purchased the item, the warranty terms and conditions in the box are provided by Corsair not the dealer, so i believe that legally Corsair do have a right to protect it's clients from being shortchanged with an inferior product. Only if you do the warranty with Corsair directly. The dealer really can do anything they like. Then, when the PSU is in THEIR possession, it is their obligation to do the warranty with Corsair and Corsair's obligation to uphold the warranty for that dealer. In other words, if he gives you a CX for a TX and then returns the TX to Corsair and gets an RM, that's all perfectly legal.
