Biggumboots
Hi, I bought a Corsair H100i online and went to pick it up from the depo. Some of the fins are bent, I'm not too concerned about that, however one of the water pipes running parallel to the radiator has a small bend/dint in it. You can see the bend in the image but it's hard to see that it's a little flattened on top too. Should I be worried?
JKeifer
You have a good eye. Assuming this was new in the box, I am surprised that this sort of build or handling damage makes it through QA/QC. Does the bend and/or flattening of the tube extend the entire width of the water pipe or is it limited to the one side as pictured? The pipe doesn't appear to be structurally damaged so, personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much and give it a try. You can always RMA it at a later date if the performance of the unit is impacted.
Biggumboots
Thankyou for your quick answer. The damage is only on that side at that point. I'll hook it up outside the case and see how it goes. The booklet for other corsair products inside the case was from 2012, being in Australia this thing would have traveled some distance and possibly been sitting in a warehouse for years and got the damage that way. Thanks again for your help :D:
