iketheGiant
I've noticed that my tx750w while put out a whining noise. It gets worse whenever my computer is doing something graphically intense, like when I'm playing a video game. If I plug a headset into my front panel audio, i can hear the whining in my headset, like its bleeding over in to it. Is there any solution to fix this problem? I've tried different outlets and surge protectors. I even brought it to my office and it still doing it. Help!
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted April 24, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 24, 2014 I seriously doubt there's a ground issue since you tried it in multiple locations, but it's not going to hurt to check your outlet's ground. Usually, if a PSU makes additional noises, you don't also hear those noises in the headset. That's typically related to a ground issue. What chassis is this in? iketheGiant
I have it in a Corsair 800D case. Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-X58A-UDR3.
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted April 24, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 24, 2014 Hmm... yeah. I'd go ahead and do an RMA. The ground wire inside the PSU housing might have come loose.
