RMA'ing H100i, How Does Express RMA Work ?

So the screw holes on the H100i are none existent on 1 side so I'm going to RMA it.

Now I cant really do without a CPU cooler as I don't own another and I work 3 days a week from home on the computer.

If I use the express RMA do they refund the money once they get the faulty H100i ?

Any help of info is appreciated :)

You pay a premium for the advance RMA (usually around $10.00 US), and give them a credit card number. Corsair will place a hold on the credit card in the amount of the new unit, and they ship it to you. When you receive the new unit, swap it with the old one and ship it back (usually in a prepaid shipping box). Once they receive the old unit, they release the funds from the credit card. If they do not receive the old unit in a timely fashion (stated on the RMA), they charge the amount that was held to the credit card.

That sounds pretty good to me :)

I've put in an RMA and I'll talk to CS about doing this :)

no,you dont pay a ''premium;;,they simply put a hold on the price of a new unit, until you send the bad one back to them...

The only problem is that sending it to the Netherlands which is their RMA place here in Europe costs like £30/$50 which is nearly half of what the H100i costs :-/

The Premium is usually to cover the cost of return shipping. Sometimes it's optional, and sometimes it's not, depending on the company. I haven't tried Corsair's advance RMA yet so I cannot say whether their's is optional or not, but prepaid shipping is extremely easy to use. I'd recommend an advance RMA over standard RMA any day.
