x509
As you may have noticed, I'm searching for a source for 800D hot-swap drive trays, but the store recommended here seems overpriced and there might be other problems with buying from them. So I'm wondering. Is it Ok to run my system, in an 800D case, with one or more of the hot-swap drive trays removed? Of couse, I would keep the front cover closed. Thanks. Cube
the only thing it would do is help suck in more dust into the drive bay. there will be holes. the front pannel door is not air tight unless you want to seal it up. the drive trays make no connection to the back plane unless there is a harddrive in it i have left my 800d on with no harddives in the drive bay before for 3 days, put black gaffers tape over the empty bay hole or any other such dust blocker of choice http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaffer_tape

I also have painter's tape, which is blue. Painters use it to mark off areas like a wall, that they do not want painted.
