abc_321
I am planning to purchase Hydro Series H110 CPU Cooler and installing it on my Gigabyte 945G-DS3 (LGA 775) socket. Here is a pic of the board: http://www.gigabyte.com/fileupload/product/2/2403/651.jpg Just wanted to get your views on whether the mounting bracket will fit. I have previously tried installing my friends' H100i & H80i but both brackets did not fit. From what I understood so far, models without "i" should be OK as long as they are rotated 90 degrees to fit. I would really appreciate if someone who has tried it could confirm this before I proceed with the purchase. Thanks.

You might get interference from the stuff that is close to the socket However I did manage to get a H100 mounted on to a Socket 775 Board

Also, was it worth it in terms of temperature difference?
DjRavix
Thanks, but did you manage to get full contact between the unit and the CPU? Also, was it worth it in terms of temperature difference? I actually did it to Reduce Noise However since it did get at similar Temperatures as before .. I think that at the same noise level it will improve temperatures
