Aonor
Recently, I noticed some issues with my CPU cooler (bought less than a year ago). One part of the LED went out and displayed purple instead of blue, but I wouldn't think that would affect the performance. Then about a month ago, the LED turned red and the fans were spinning loudly. Using Corsair Link, I went to check the temps: H100i Tempt @ 58.2c, i7-3820 Avg @ 67c. What really surprised me though, was that these were the idle temperatures. CPU activity less than 10%. Today, I removed and reapplied new thermal paste (Artic Silver 5) to see if it was a probem with the previous grease. But the temps. were about the same, only improving by 1-3c. As of currently, I do not know what to do. Is this issue I could fix alone or should I request a RMA?
Corsair Technomancer
As of currently, I do not know what to do. Is this issue I could fix alone or should I request a RMA? Best bet would be to make sure that you have the latest link version on your rig (beta available under the link product discussion in this forum), and to check to make sure that the cooling plate is in full contact with the processor. If those don't fix it then I'd submit the RMA.
