How reliable are the K95's ?

So I just got the K95 today and I'm loving it but a little worried as I've seen A LOT of people complaining about dead LED's or LED's dimming after only a few days usage.

Are these isolated incidents or should I get ready to send mine back ? :p:

Also just generally glancing over these forums and quite a few others it appears that Corsair's reputation is slipping, Did they move their quality testing department to china or something ?

It's the only explanation I can come up with that explains their dramatic drop in reliability over the past few years and is starting to rival Razer and Roccat for their high failure rate.

I wouldn't say that they are isolated. I have the m90 which is the lower end model of that and about a month after purchase the mouse suddenly stopped working, the LEDs cut off and at times it wouldn't even work as a regular mouse but then a few days later when I'm about to send it back everything starts working perfectly. I have had absolutely no problems with the hardware in over a year since, software is another thing but that can be fixed yourself.

It's weird and I have heard a lot of cases but I don't think I will stop buying or recommending corsair products(my computer build contains 4 pieces and the only other problem I've had is when I spilled a liquid onto my k60), I just probably would avoid any that hve a software element to them in the future.

I'm sorry I just realized I misread that as M95 instead of K95, but I've had no issues with my corsair keyboard either besides "user error"

damage is usually done to mice/keyboards through ESD by the user themselves.

put down a computer chair mat or something on your carpet, and it should help ensure you dont built static electricity and damage mouse/kb through ESD.

i own a M60 mouse and K95 keyboard, and have had both since their initial release. still working fine even with excessive wear/use on them.
