Jin24
Hello, I recently put together a new build (about a week ago) using the HX750 Gold-Rated, Semi-Modular PSU (and an i7-3770K/780 GHz Edition) and I've pinpointed down the source of an issue I've been having with an irritating buzzing under load in games and benchmarks and the like. It's the PSU, without a doubt (can clearly distinguish where the sound is coming from), and none of the stickied recommendations regarding power states have affected the noise at all. The buzzing's intensity varies depending on just how much load is placed on the PSU, what direction I'm facing in whatever, and subsequently even how many frames I'm getting. It turns into a high-pitched squeal/buzzing mix in some scenarios (200+ FPS while looking at the sky in Unigine Valley). Frankly, this is unacceptable and I am very upset to pay this much money for a reportedly high quality PSU to get this irritation. I would like to request an advanced RMA for this, but reports I've seen on the internet have me worried the replacement won't fare any better (issue seems common) and I've little patience for wasting additional money on shipping just to try and get a properly working unit in the first place. Is this inherent to the HX750 and how would the advanced RMA process work exactly? If the replacement also has the same issue, can I return the product outright to Corsair and go for a different model (like the RM750) instead? Thank you.
