mkel2010
I just purchased an AX1200i PSU for a new system. The package came with the 24-pin ATX cable and an 8 pin ATX cable, both for the motherboard power. What I didn't find is a 4 pin ATX cable for the third motherboard power connection. I've read other forums which seem to say that it's advisable to power all three power ports on the motherboard if you plan on overclocking. I don't know if I will ever overclock the CPU, but I don't want to have to go back into the case in the future if the desire strikes me to overclock. Does Corsair have 4 pin ATX plugs? I don't see then specifically listed as an individual cable offered by Corsair. Just trying to figure out if I need to contact Corsair next week about a missing cable or not. thenosbod
hope this helps taken from the faq's on http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/ax1200i-digital-atx-power-supply-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu Where?s the 4-pin EPS/ATX 12v connector that I need for my motherboard? Our power supplies ship with an 8-pin connector that splits in half. Use half of this connector for the 4-pin EPS/ATX 12v connector on your motherboard: [ame] [/ame] and going by http://www.corsair.com/~/media/Corsair/download-files/manuals/corsair-psu-spec-table-091813.pdf you should have two of them 4+4-pin (CPU, works as either 4 or 8-pin)
