Archangel169
Hi all, I am new to system building (for the most part), and I am working on building a new rig. I leapt before I looked in the case of my choice in CPU cooler in conjunction with my case and motherboard. As the title states, I got a Hydro 105, and I have a P9X79-E WS motherboard installed in a 600T case. The issue is, there's not enough room at the top of the inside of the case for the radiator, let alone the radiator and the included 120mm fans. I have tried getting creative and mounting it on the mesh insert provided for the side cutout, but the screws provided are not long enough. I've tried mounting just the radiator, slightly offset, on the underside of the top of the case, which actually worked. However, it's hanging on by 2 screws only, and I couldn't mount the fans under the removable mesh panel on top for many reasons. I'm trying not to have to return the cooler, but it's looking like I have to. However, I'm hoping someone will have a clever solution that my tired frustrated brain couldn't come up with. Anyone have any thoughts?
wytnyt
if screw length is the issue, for less than a $ you can buy longer screws...
Archangel169
if screw length is the issue, for less than a $ you can buy longer screws... Sadly, screw length isn't the only issue. The fans would need to be offset from the radiator because of where the radiator screws are located, the radiator is still hanging by 2 screws, the list goes on. I just returned the kit and bought a H80i after measuring where it would go. I believe I'll have better luck with that size kit in conjunction with the 600T case and that mobo. Gilgameshi
I was considering the 105 as well, but it wouldn't seem to fit with the mosfet heatsinks. You'd think all Corsair products would fit into all their cases, as long as it's 120mm. So now, if I want the H105, I would need to get a different case as well. What a pain in the ***! HOODedAssault
Considering the h105 came out WAY later than the 600T it makes sense it doesn't fit. If corsair had to stick to all prior made case compatibility we would never have any advancements in cooling.

Icykill
I currently have a 600t with a H100i in it... (2nd one that's failed)... Hence I want to know from Corsair if I can fit a H105 in my 600t... I am not going to install another H100i... My options are a H105 or another brand As far as installing the fans for my H100i, I installed them on top of the case in the space between the grill and removable cover If I am going to install a H105 I will do a similar fan setup "if" the radiator will fit with an Asus z97 Maximus-VII-formula motherboard Can anyone confirm?? Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted January 12, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 12, 2015 The H105 won't fit in the 600T, the H105's radiator is much thicker than the H100i's.
ohmie77
The corsair youtube video says the h105 will fit in the 600T case, I planned on mounting the fans on the top side under the mesh screen blowing out of the case i have the mesh side screen also I could put more fans in for intake .Anyone see an issue with this?/I know about exhausting thru the radiator from the inside where there is already heat, so i may use the roof as an intake also ans put in fan or fans on the side for more exhaust :sunglasse
