My Corsair K70 Has Stopped Working

Hi.

My Corsair K70 (Black version) no longer works. I've only had it a day, purchased it from an online store. About 3 hours ago, I shutdown my PC because I had to go out, when I returned home I turned on my PC to play on Borderlands 2. While the computer was booting-up I noticed the K70 red LED's wouldn't turn on, nor was the media keys, etc. I immediately unplugged the keyboard from its USB input and reconnected it. Windows made its audible USB connection noise but the K70 still wouldn't power on? I've connected it to all USB ports on the Motherboard/PC case, also, tried many restarts/shutdowns but there's zero response from the keyboard LED's. I tried typing with the keys but nothing appears on-screen? There's a Bios switch at the back of the keyboard, no matter what position it's put in, it fails to turn the K70 on?

Apart from this PC, I don't own another system to test the keyboard on, and no one I know has a computer, only Smartphones/Tablets. I do however, have a games console that is compatible with keyboards for internet browsing, and I've just tested it on that and it's not working on that either? I have a spare keyboard that works in all available PC USB ports, so this is definitely an issues with the K70.

Does anyone know if this keyboard is dead, as I need a fault confirmed before returning it, as the seller charges for shipping there and back for unfaulty returned items.

Based on my experience owning two of Corsair keyboards, I think your keyboard is dead. It is a very common problem with Corsair keyboard.

What causes them to die so quickly? I also had issues with the K90 random keystrokes and frequent disconnecting, had to RMA it last year for a refund. Because the K90 was a real pain, I was in two minds to even buy the K70 in the first place. The problem I've got is the seller has a awful returns policy, they won't offer replacements after 28 days. So I'll have to ship to America from Europe = shipping far too much hassle! Given there's still common problems with these keyboards, it worries me! The cost of the keyboard alone is expensive, nevermind - shipping to America. Should I even bother requesting a replacement?

I still do not know the problem why they died. They just stopped working all of sudden. My two Corsair keyboards were working fine. The next morning, i turned on the PC, and nothing happened. I unplugged and re plugged, but nothing worked. Even in different USB ports and other computers's USBs, it still did not work. I eventually sold mine to somebody else.
