Sean31789
I have been thinking of building a computer for a long time. I finally got a Case I like Being a Corsair: Carbide Series 500R White Mid-Tower Case. I was hoping someone could give me suggestions on the rest of the building of my computer. Right now I have a Nice Asus DVD Drive. I am looking to build a nice Gaming computer for under $800 and buying the parts as I get the money. That 800$ isnt Including the Tower and DVD drive which I have already purchased.
wytnyt
your best bet is to compile a list of total parts and price shop the components, you havent mentioned the desired components so ideas are limited as theres many ways to go in a build... RocketPuppy
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3rqCM If you have a Microcenter nearby you can upgrade to a 4760k and z87 Motherboard for less money than that price. SSD Prices are fluctuating daily right now by dramatic amounts on NewEgg and Amazon, you could save some money by price sniping on a "good" day. Breakdown before pricing changes: CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($204.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock H87 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($91.48 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($71.10 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($139.99 @ Best Buy) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card ($239.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($24.99 @ Newegg) Total: $772.54 ($799 before rebates) ** Unless you get a Z87 Motherboard don't get 1866 ram or faster. H87 boards max out at 1600mhz.
HOODedAssault
Spend the extra for 4670k model. Get a z87 board. Asrock extreme 3 is pretty cheap. I wouldn't go under quality 600 watt on the psu.
