Tillian
Hello there, I purchased a refurbished H80 from Scan about 2 weeks ago to put into a secondary PC build I was doing, everything is fine except one thing. The fan plugged into the right pump header will rev up then down repeatedly, going from it's slowest speed to it's highest speed. The fan connected to the left header is fine. Switching between profiles on the H80 doesn't change the behaviour of the right header fan. I had also tried resetting the firmware by holding the H80s button for 3 seconds and the LEDs flash but the problem doesn't go away. I'm using this on a Q6600 processor and on an Asus R.O.G Striker Extreme motherboard.

wytnyt
chances are there is a problem with the fan controller, perhaps why it was a initial return, you can check on what type of return this has but if that isnt a viable option, you can get a y splitter cable and run both fans from the good header. such is the woes of buying a refurb, their just that for a reason and may test ok in a ''lab'' but not in a long term real usage situation...
