Vertigo1
Hi, I have a pair of Vengeance memory sticks (2 x 4GB kit - CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9) which I bought a couple of years ago I think. When I first installed them alongside my existing memory (same kit), I ended up with stability problems running 4 x 4GB so I took them out again. I wasn't sure if it was the memory or my motherboard which was causing the issues (as I know getting 4x4 to work can sometimes be tricky) so figured I'd test the new sticks in isolation sometime. I never got round to that and have only just found them again. I've just tested them in isolation in the same machine and they do appear to be defective. If I set the timings correctly (XMP 9-9-9-24 @ 800Mhz) then memtest immediately returns loads of errors whereas my existing memory with the same settings is fine. Can I RMA these somehow? I know Corsair offer a lifetime warranty but I don't have my proof of purchase or receipt any more. If I can, how do I go about this? Many thanks.
