crayonmuncher
Sorry if this is a dumb question, does this temp monitor the temp of the cpu at all? If it is monitoring the cpu temp I am wondering what is more accurate, the cpu temp in hwmonitor or the H80i temp sensor on the cpu block I only ask as it is about 10c lower than hwmonitor, and I dont want to burn out my cpu. BTW this is not the average temp, it is the h80i temp 1 Thanks.
JKeifer
The temp monitor does not have access to the CPU's on-die temp sensor so it only monitors the temp of the water block/water in the cooler. The temp displayed by HWMONITOR is as accurate as the sensor on the CPU so it's the best there is. I don't know if a 10 degree differential between the CPU and the water block is good or not. My experience with the H80i would suggest quite a bit more temperature differential but I could be wrong.

Latharion
The software does have the same access to information that other similar products have (like AIDA64 or the Asus suite). So technically, it has access to whatever the motherboard reports, in addition to whatever the Corsair "i" products report. That's probably one of the big reasons for people having problems with the Link software... it doesn't really play well with other, similar products.
