bobzbobz
Hi I have a HTPC which I use for movies/gaming. When I play newer games on full graphics, my current psu gives a "whining" sound and therefore I have decided to order a new one. I have been looking at the Corsair RM650, but am wondering if the position of the psu-fan (on top/bottom) will work with my case - I have a Fractal Design Node 304, where the psu is possitioned in the front. http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2012/09/fractal-design-node-304-review/11-1280x1024.jpg Another question - will the 650W be enough for my system? MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77N-Wifi Rev. 1 (mini ITX) GFX: ASUS GTX 670 Mini CPU: i5 3570K RAM: 2x4GB HyperX Beast 1600MHz SSD: Samsung 840 Basic 120GB HDD: Random 1TB Drive Best regards, Soren
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted April 2, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 2, 2014 The position of the RM's fan isn't any different than the position of the fan in that Zalman PSU in your picture. As for it being enough: It's more than enough.
bobzbobz
Thanks for the reply As for my first question, I guess it was a brain fart - of course the position of the fan works ;) Just installed the PSU yesterday and it works like a charm.
