Dom_79
Sorry in advance for the long post! I've been using my H100i on my first build for a few (3) months now, haven't had many problems with it other than the stock fans were so loud I could hear them with headphones cranked so loud they hurt! Anyways, replaced the stock with SP120 PWM High Performance and they are so quiet all I hear is the great volume of air they push (sweet!). BUT, Corsair Link software (for future reference I don't have a Link Commander and will refer to the software as simply Link) reports the Max RPM of these new fans (and if I recall correctly the stock ones as well) at significantly less they what they should be. At first they were reported as approx. 2070RPM (should be 2350 +/- 10% = 2115RPM min), then after a BSOD during OC stress testing they were reported as 2017(fan1) and 2023(fan2). Also after that BSOD, Link was no longer able to implement the custom fan curve I had set. While monitoring the fans and curve in Link I even noticed that the "tracker bar" for the temps. in the curve graph would disappear after a short while. So, I deleted my profile, un-installed link, re-booted my rig and re-installed Link. This is not a problem and I'd do that as many times as required while I stabilize my OC. BUT... although that corrected my issues with the fan curve it works now only if I start Link with windows, otherwise the fans are stuck at the lowest set point. AND the fans max RPM seems to be dropping every time I do this. I've had to do it twice now, first time max RPM dropped to 2001(fan1) and 2008(fan2) and this time they are at 1979(fan1) and 1989(fan2). I've tried opening a ticket about this but after I fill out the ticket subject and the description and fill out the product info the submit button disappears. Tried several times same result. Thanks for reading and if you can PLEASE HELP!
Dom_79
Alright, just got off the phone with tech support (super nice guy listened to all my rambling and helped quite a bit :sunglasse ) Fan max RPM: My fans technically qualify for RMA because they are too "slow" (Max RPM specified = 2350 +/- 10% = should not be lower than 2115RPM - mine are 2020RPM). As to the issues with the Link software, changing the fan setting from custom curve to max speed "reset" the speeds to what they should be (still too low @ 2020 but that is specific to this item and not a product/software issue) Fan curve implementation issue: Turns out that the Corsair Hardware monitor instance (found in task manager) was not starting up/ failing. To resolve; my steps of deleting saved profile, un-installing Link software, restarting PC (required) and then re-installing is the fix IF this happens to you after a BSOD/ hard reset or power loss (instant shutdown due to outage, blown fuse, etc.) Although my custom curve had worked in the past without needing to start Link software at start-up, that's not the way it should be. To have the Link software implement the custom curve it must be running (although as long as I run it and then close it, it still uses the custom curve - even though it shouldn't be able to  ) Issues with Support or RMA ticket: Internet Explorer has compatibility issues with the site (or vice versa). To resolve view the page(s) in compatibility mode OR use FireFox or Chrome. I hope these two mountains of text can help others who might have similar issues, thanks for reading my "book", rock on :headbang:
