Henk
Recently it takes a while for my AX850 to power on my motherboard. Pressing the powerbutton does not start my desktop and I have to wait for about 2 minutes before there is power on the motherboard. I have two LED's on my graphics card and a few on my motherboard which only lit up after two minutes. I'm only able to boot when these are lit. I've switched the AX850 for a CX600M and the latter works just fine. I was wondering if the issue described above is harmfull to my desktop. Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted March 17, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 17, 2014 Sounds like a "power good" signal problem. There's a delay between the motherboard and PSU that essentially has the PSU waiting for the motherboard to tell it it is ready. Normally, I would say that the motherboard isn't reporting that it's ready, but since it worked before and the CX600M works, I'd say the problem is with the PSU. Is it harmful? Absolutely not. Is it a pain? Yep. I'd go ahead and get an RMA to exchange for another unit, but it's not critical.
