directorJay
Seeing there are no specific hot swap bay replacements for the Air540 in the shop, can you please tell me which one of the existing 3.5" hot swap bay of other cases will fit on my case? I see that some look the same but I can't be too sure until I fit them. I need help :(
Toasted
Submit a ticket, explain your issue and ask if they can send you a replacement bay. Make sure you upload a picture of the invoice to the ticket as well.
tistheoc
I wanted to reply after searching everywhere for this as well. Here's where I found a replacement part for the dual 3.5” hot swap bays ($1.99/ea): http://www.corsair.com/en/300r-replacement-hard-drive-tray-1-unit
Lady Fitzgerald
That is just the tray (which may be what the OP means by hot swap bay). Another part of the bay is the backplane connector.
wytnyt
to avoid future breakage,,when removing the drives instead of pulling on the tabs,,,simply put your fingertips between the drive and the connectors and roll your fingertips towards you and the drive will pop loose... Friction
to avoid future breakage,,when removing the drives instead of pulling on the tabs,,,simply put your fingertips between the drive and the connectors and roll your fingertips towards you and the drive will pop loose... No good if you have a cover over the hard drives and the only thing you can reach is the tabs. Besides, they should be strong enough so that they don't break! Besides, they should be strong enough so that they don't break! Can you grip the end if the drive with your fingers and pull on it after releasing the tabs? I agree the tabs should be strong enough but it is what it is. Better to avoid trouble if possible than to deal with it when it happens.
