Spyone1
Hi there, my first post on these forums, I hope I am not in the wrong spot. I built a new computer today (specs filled in) and got a H80i water cooler to use with it. Installed just fine, but when after I plugged in the fan splitter (as per the installation manual) I discovered that the connection plugs on the fans and the connection plugs on the splitter don't go together, they are the wrong type. For now, I have plugged both fans into CPU FAN_1 and CPU FAN_2 on the motherboard, but I am worried that I should be using the splitter from the cooler head itself. Is there anything that can be done about this, or is the setup I have used going to be okay? For what it is worth, the CPU/APU is running at about 28 degrees C, so it does seem to be working. Ripshod
The plugs on the splitter have covers on them that make them appear wrong. Remove the covers and you'll be fine (they're only there to protect the pins) When I say cover it's actually more like a dummy plug.
Spyone1
Ah. One of them was stuck (glued? wedged?), the entire cover for the pins came off with it. The other one was fine. will have to see if I can get it back on. The other one came off easily, thank you
Spyone1
Managed to get it back on with some help from a needle. Hope it still works. Thanks again

Glad I saw this before complaining, pity Corsair don't put it in the manual ::pirate::
