vBDKv
Just purchased an AF140 as an exhaust a couple of weeks ago, and finally had the time to install it today. However my motherboard does not get any RPM signal from the fan for some odd reason. I tested the same fan header with a different fan which is also 3-pin like the AF140 (Noctua NF-P12) and it reports RPM just fine and dandy. Did I get a busted fan or are they supposed to work this way? Thanks.
vBDKv
Well it seems Corsair fans are just utter junk. No surprise there really. Even the cheapest fans you can find has RPM signals, but not this Corsair junk. Corsair is the word for junk it seems. Here's a screenshot of 4 Noctua fans (proper high quality fans) and 1 Corsiar fan (proper junk). http://s20.postimg.org/x9xbg96kd/shame.jpg Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, never gonna happen because Corsair = Cheap non functioning junk.

If you think I didn't switch all the fans around into different headers, you are not a proper geek. Sorry to disappoint :) Nope, Corsair is just cheap junk these days. First the CX line, now their crappy fans. I'm done. Bye bye.

vBDKv
i didnt suggest swapping fan headers or try offering help as flaming Corsair products is obviously you're sole intent. My sole intent is to get some sort of quality for my money. That's it. Flaming? What does that even mean? I'm not into forum speak. Clearly, Corsair cannot deliver. Even the most simple thing as an RPM signal. That's just laughable.
wytnyt
then get it replaced, every product has a bad apple now and then,,and most certainly doesnt mean its junk and Corsair is junk [aka flaming] i have something like 34 Corsair fans without any problems and if one were bad then its certainly isnt junk because of that. and the reason i labeled the thread flaming is from the product and Company insults, that and you didnt ask for help nor of how to get the fan replaced but simply began to post in a completely condescending manner which does constitute the manner of flaming. if this wasnt your intention then i do apologize to you but never less, begin a rma and get the fan replaced which wont cost you anything as Corsair doesnt require receiving the bad fan back take care... vBDKv
I tried, Corsair is apparently garbage when it comes to customer service as well. I'm starting to think this is a loony tune company, just in it for the laughs. Also why is this topic getting so many damn replies today, but it's been idle for months? Can you smell a fanboy? I sure can. It's pretty obvious; Corsiar is the poor mans junk, and I do not want any of it. You can keep it for all i care. Oh and good luck, you'll need it.
